30-Day Enterprise Trial FAQ
Answers to common questions about the KubeWatch 30-day trial.
Every new KubeWatch account gets a 30-day Enterprise trial automatically, whether you sign up for KubeWatch Cloud or run a fresh self-hosted install. There's no separate self-hosted trial process, and no license key is required to get started. Here are answers to the most common questions.
Do I need a credit card to start the trial?
No. You can sign up (or run install.sh) and use the full Enterprise trial without entering any payment information or license key. A credit card is only required once you choose a paid plan for a SaaS account; a license key is only required for self-hosted once the trial ends.
What do I get during the trial?
Full Enterprise-tier access, with unlimited agents during the trial (higher than the standing Enterprise plan's own cap of 200 agents on monthly billing, or 2,000 on annual):
- Unlimited agents and users
- Unlimited alert rules
- SSO / SAML
- Audit trail
- AI Observability
- All notification channels (Email, Slack, PagerDuty, Webhook)
- Priority support with SLA
What happens after the 30 days?
There's no free plan to fall back to. If you haven't chosen Pro or Enterprise (or activated a self-hosted license) by the time the trial ends, the account is suspended: every dashboard and API request returns a "please upgrade" prompt until you do. Nothing is deleted, agents included, monitoring resumes automatically as soon as you upgrade.
You'll receive email reminders at 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before your trial ends, so this shouldn't come as a surprise.
Can I extend the trial?
Trials run 30 days for everyone. If you need more time to evaluate, contact support. We can sometimes grant a short extension.
Can I upgrade during the trial?
Yes, at any point before the trial ends if you decide KubeWatch is the right fit. The 30-day trial period ends the moment billing starts, on the day you upgrade.
What if I add a credit card but don't upgrade?
Adding a payment method on its own doesn't start billing. That only happens once you explicitly select a paid plan and confirm the upgrade.
Will my data be deleted if I don't upgrade?
No. A suspended account keeps all its data; you just can't access it until you upgrade. Once you do, everything is exactly where you left it, subject to whatever retention window you've configured in Settings.
Can I invite teammates during the trial?
Yes, unlimited team members while you're on the Enterprise trial. If the account gets suspended after the trial ends, nobody (including the owner) can access it until it's upgraded. Suspension blocks the whole org, not just extra seats.
What counts as a "day" for the trial?
It starts the moment you complete signup and runs for exactly 30 × 24 hours from there. You can watch the countdown in Settings → Billing.
